Setting up Auto deletion on an IDVisor Smart Device
If you are required by your state and/or would like to make sure customer scans are cleared from the device daily, you can enable the Auto Deletion feature on your IDVisor Smart device. This will eliminate the process of having to manually delete the scans daily, also it will ensure the scans are deleted allowing you to comply with any state laws when it comes to scanning IDs.
NOTE: The IDVisor Smart device MUST be shutdown after use or rebooted before the next time of use for the Auto Deletion to take effect.
Follow the step by step instructions below in order to setup Auto deletion on your IDVisor Smart device.
Step 1: From IDVisor Smart app Home screen select Setup.
Step 2: After selecting Setup, select Configuration from the list of options.
Step 3: Once you are in Configuration, select Advanced.
Step 4: In the Advanced settings of Configuration. You will see the Auto Deletion option at the top of the page. Select Auto Deletion.
Step 5: After selecting Auto deletion, you will now be able to set records to auto-delete.
To begin: Check the box next to Enable Auto Deletion in order to enable Auto Deletion.
Under Age of Data to Delete(days), enter the amount of days you would like the device to Auto Delete.
I.E – If 180 entered, the device will delete all data 180 days and older.
Check the “Also delete Customers” box if you would like to delete customers along with scans.
I.E – This will delete the customer record along with the additional scan records (the customer record is entered once for the ID, scan records are entered for every scan of an ID).
Check the “Also delete Tagged Customers” box if you would like to include deletion of customers who were tagged.
I.E – Deleting Tagged Customers will delete banned, VIP, any customers that were tagged.
Select Save after configuring your desired Auto Deletion options.
The IDVisor Smart device MUST be shutdown after use or rebooted before the next time of use for the Auto Deletion to take effect.
NOTE: The Auto-Delete process begins 30 seconds after the application starts.
