How to Apply an IDentiFake Engine and Library Update

Follow the steps below for instructions on how to apply an IDentiFake Engine update and Library update.

Note: Before updating the IDentiFake engine and library, please ensure the IDentiFake software is on the latest version by going to “Update”. If a new update is available it will be at the top of the window. This update method will only work for version 2.0.3.5 and later.

 

Step 1: From the Main screen go to Help > Update.

You will now see 2 additional update options called IDentiFake Engine update and IDentiFake Library update.

Step 2: First proceed with updating the IDentiFake Engine. Select Check for IDentiFake Engine Update.

Select Update to begin the Engine Update.

Once the Update bar is fully green, select Install.

After selecting install you will be prompted to allow the Windows Command Processor to run, allow the Processor to run.

After allowing the processor to run, the AssureID Sentinel window will appear. Select Next and follow the Installation Wizard to complete the Engine update.

After the Engine update is complete, you will see the Restarting IDentiFake Service loading screen.

After the IDentiFake service has restarted proceed to update the IDentiFake library.

Step 3: Select Update once again, and then select Check for IDentiFake Library Update.

Select Update to begin the Library update.

Once the Update bar is fully green, select Install.

Select Next and follow the Installation Wizard to complete the Library update.

After the Library update is complete, you will see the Restarting IDentiFake Service loading screen.

After the IDentiFake service has restarted, confirm you have the latest updates installed by selecting Update then Check for IDentiFake Library Update and Check for IDentiFake Engine Update.

You should now receive windows confirming you have the latest versions for the library and engine.
