Can I delete a scanned id from the IDVisor Pro ID Scanner?

Q: Can I delete a scanned id from the IDVisor Pro ID Scanner?

A: No – There is no individual editing or deleting of records in the IDVisor Pro database as this defeats one of its primary purposes, to serve as proof of due diligence.  In order to help owners prove an ID was scanned to law enforcement, its important that the log file can’t have records added, deleted or modified.

There are a few ways to protect a scan – typically the scan of the owners ID – from being viewed by unauthorized individuals.

  • Enable the PW on viewing scan data
  • Configure the scanner to keep just the last 30, 7 or 1 day of data – then all data of non-tagged users will be deleted in 30, 7 or 1 day depending on settings.
  • Delete All the data in the database (accessed via Database menu) – This is the extreme option but viable when the scanner is just being put into service.
