As more and more States implement a Grandfather Clause for tobacco we have developed a feature within the IDVisor Smart/Smart Plus app to enable a Grandfather Clause.
Please follow the instructions below to enable the Grandfather Clause feature on your IDVisor Smart/Smart Plus.
Step 1: Select Setup.
Step 2: Select Configuration.
Step 3: Select Advanced in the bottom left hand corner.
Step 4: Scroll down to the bottom of the page to the Grandfather Clause option. Turn Grandfather Clause ON.
Step 5: Set the Grandfather Clause settings as it pertains to your State.
Set the Age to the Age you were PREVIOUSLY allowed to purchase tobacco.
Set the Date to the Date the Grandfather Clause took effect in your State.
When scanning a customer who qualifies to purchase tobacco under the Grandfather Clause. The screen will appear as the screenshot to your left.
