Windows Recovery Screen When Booting Up AgeVisor Touch

Problem: When powering on your AgeVisor Touch, you are taken to a blue Windows recovery screen as shown below. When trying to press any of the options shown on the screen the touchscreen does not respond.

This issue typically occurs when the AgeVisor Touch was shut down abruptly i.e power outage, removing the power cord before powering off unit. The Windows recovery screen will come up due to an improper shutdown.

When this issue occurs the touch screen on the AgeVisor Touch will become unresponsive. You will have to connect a USB mouse in order to access the windows recovery options on the screen. The USB ports for the AgeVisor Touch is located on the right side of the unit next to the power button. You can use any of the 2 USB ports to connect the mouse.

Once you have a USB mouse connected to the device please follow the troubleshooting steps below.

Step 1: Restart my PC

When the Windows recovery screen appears select Restart my PC. This will reboot the AgeVisor Touch. The AgeVisor Touch software should now boot as it normally should.

When the AgeVisor Touch has successfully booted correctly, you should be taken to the Main screen of the AgeVisor Touch software after 1-2 minutes.

If after selecting “Restart my PC” the AgeVisor Touch boots back up to the same Windows recovery screen, proceed to Step 2 below.

Step 2: See advanced repair options

If the “Restart my PC” option did not correct the issue, we will now use the advanced repair options.

Select See advanced repair options. This will take you to the windows recovery advanced repair options.

In the Advanced options window select Startup Repair.

After selecting Startup Repair you will be taken to the Automatic repair screen. The automatic repair will begin, when the progress reaches 100% the AgeVisor Touch will reboot and start up as normal.

When the AgeVisor Touch has successfully booted correctly, you should be taken to the Main screen of the AgeVisor Touch software after 1-2 minutes.
